Hi Tirl - ouch to the gear lever and bike drop but at least you're okay. It's the season for colds and flu - I am trying to fight one off at the moment. DS has had an ear infection since this time last week - really should take him to the doctor's but not got round to it.

You must be so pleased with being so near £3k

Thanks SH. It's funny, though the 'accident' was totally my fault, I've become even more alert in traffic. I just don't trust any car driver out there.

We're taking part in a Safari Supper tonight,it's part of BF's works social club. We have a starter at our place with 4 other people, then we go to another place for main course but not to any of the other people's houses that we've entertained, and then pudding is yet with other 4 different people. And then there's an after party. Sounds like a great idea to socialise with your work mates and then you should basically 'know' 12 other people in the after party. Will report back how it goes.

Also looks like I've lost a bit of weight. Not quite as much yet as I wished but it's a start. I'll keep at it.

Called my cc provider yesterday and they said I changed my dd details in the middle of period and that's why it didn't go through and it should've given me an option to pay manually which it never did. But there's no point showing that your details have been changed on the website and then the website saying that the payment has gone through! I do not get paper statements anymore so if I wasn't vigilant,it could've been only when I got the fee that I would've noticed something was wrong! Anyway, they will refund me the fee (which is not even showing yet) put me back on my promotional rate and I paid the minimum payment over the phone. For next time, things should be fine.

Also went to cancel my sant band account, I had £5 under funding fee that I couldn't get a way without paying but at least it's now closed and I never have to worry about it again.

21 days till pay day :p. Sometimes I wish my life away between pay days as I want to know how much money will I have left from the last pay and what can I pay off with it :rotfl:

Hi Tirl well done on the weight loss. Supper safari sounds nice. We did a dinners for 6 thing last year with 2 other couples where one brought starter, one did main course and another did desert but just did across 3 months and swapped locations but same couples. They have become really good friends as a result!

Glad you sorted out the CC issue and didn't lose the promotional rate

And on no account should you wish your life away....LOL

Oops, haven't been here for awhile. Safari supper was great fun! I tidied up and BF made parmigiana as a starter with lush tiny herby oven potatoes. We'd forgotten to take any cash out and had to race to the nearest village which is about 10min walk away to get cash and then just caught the next bus. We're almost half an hour late for the main course but it was ok,very relaxed. From there we rushed to the waterside for pudding which was lush;vodka jelly, strawberry sorbet and chocolate icecream, all home made and then a cosmopolitan. Then off to the pub where everyone gathered to the after party. WE didn't stay long as we needed to take the last bus.
I slightly over dressed for the occasion but decided to keep my dress on but just change for more casual shoes.

I also managed to lose my purse with my debit card and driving licence but the next day, someone had put it through the post box and left a message inside saying how lovely I looked in my photo and to call Sam, the mysterious hunk.:D I did call him,the least he deserved for personally hand delivering my posessions all the way from town, but he didn't answer and I left a message thanking him. Then I missed his call when he tried to get back and that was that.

I've also decided to take on a sprint tri next year. Looking at one in the end of May close to where I live but still hankering after Bristol tri as well...Need to choose soon.

Had a busy weekend. On Saturday we finally went to use our groupon vouchers for a tri scuba dive. I've done my advanced open water qualification already but BF has never tried and the deal was cheap so we both went. Had a quite nice ride to the site as well. It was quite fun being underwater again with all the scuba gear but in the small pool, it did get a bit boring towards the end. BF liked it though and would like to do the qualifications but it's probably not what we need to use our money for at the moment. In the evening we went swimming and I did about 1.4km.

Sunday we had two vb matches, one which was very important as if we won, we'd keep up our position on top of the leaderboard, if we lost, we'd be second. Unfortunately, the latter happened. :(
