Hi Tirl
I've lost 5.5lbs in 2 weeks so pleased with that. You can do it if you just get back on the wagon altho I do think weight comes off quicker when you weigh more. don't forget muscle weighs heavier than the same proportion of fat so don't be too hard on yourself.
I would focus on getting well in yourself - lots of fruit and veg rather than necessarily too strenuous a diet or training programme.
This is your year - and hopefully you will get your dream job to go with the new partners etc. You have come along way on your journey and lots of things that have happened were unforeseeable at the start that have been good.... So stay positive...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SH and thanks for that.
And fabby well done on weight loss!!!!
And don't worry, I don't do 'diets'. What I do is cut on the crap and eat more healthily and reduce portion sizes as they can sometimes creape up. And exercise more. But this has been a sticking point atm. I've been busy with things and just haven't been able to get into it yet. And this is not just an excuse. I got contacted by an agency about a possible job opportunity, then one evening needed to do some tests, another prep for an assesment day and running around getting a new suit, top, getting my hair cut (hasn't seen scissors for about 6 months) then the assesment day etc etc.
Was supposed to see my friend today but that would mean being away from home again and not having time to do exercise so I rescheduled it for next week. Soooo, today it's either a run or Shred. Not sure yet which, see what I fancy when I get back home. But exercise will be done tonight!!!
Oh,and about the assesment day,it went ok,not as well as I hoped so am not sure if I'll get a telephone interview out of it or not, but to be honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted the job anyway and just went for the experience which was good. The job's in Gloucester so still a lot of travelling,it's shifts between 6.30am-8pm but no weekends. Basic pay is less than I'm on now but if you would get top bonus and language allowance it could be a bit more. But work seemed repetitive though it may not be as we only saw a glimpse.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

One of the tests was to read a script, basically what they use at the start of the conferences sometime to see if you had a good, clear voice and pronunciation. Half way through I put the sheet down as I noticed my hands were shaking a bit!!!:o
Finally did some exercise bar volleyball. Went for a run tonight, just half an hour but it's a start. It was good to be out.Almost let it slide again as when I arrived my sister was on the phone and I chatted to her for half an hour but I'm glad I went.

Hi Tirl - my voice shook last week at an interview with 2 people I'm friends with but was fine today when I was with one person I knew and one I didn't. Sometimes these things sneak up on us... It can also improve with practiceAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Today's a rest day. Weather's pretty carp and I'm going to see a friend later and stay over.
Tomorrow I'm home on my own so will do Shred.
Thought I lost the dvd then found it on the book shelf with the other dvd's where I'd looked twice before! Obviously not properly...:o
Have had some feedback from the assesment day. They liked me but because I made some mistakes they'd be looking to give me Level 1 pay which is £2.5k less than I'm on now. Bonus on level 1 is also only up to £1.5k (paid quarterly). This is not official though and everything would still be dependent on phone interview (I guess). I could obviously try to negotiate the salary as an offer based on just half a day's assesment doesn't really mean anything but I'm not sure I'll be bothered as not sure if I want the job anyway and I guess I wouldn't be able to get the top whack as a starter anyway.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
