Thanks CMD! It's so exciting to be nearly at the end of a very long journey. It's definitely gotten easier and not every penny is going towards the debt anymore. Can't wait to see the last of it!
How are you doing?
Debt wide things are not great but mental health wise I am delighted to be living at home, enjoying the kids, I have a part-time job I enjoy and we have just moved to a lovely rental house. If OH could just get a job in Ireland that would be the icing on the cake
How are things on the job front for you?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

CMD - it's great to hear all the important things seem to be pretty sorted! And you will sort the debt out in its time.
I've not really been looking for jobs for couple of months but things at work are changing a lot and I think it's finally culminating to action on my part.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Last two matches of the season were played yesterday. We started well but lost the first one. Second one, I think people just had had enough and no one was on it so we lost that one as well. What a poor end to the season...:(
In other news, I'm doing a little try-a-tri in 3 weeks time. Only 400m swim,16k bike and 5k run but am excited. Plan was to do another one with a little bit longer bike 3 weeks after that but just can't afford it.
Have also entered my first half marathon! I'm going to do the Bristol half on 30th October! Though I've been fairly regularly running since January, I need to keep more consistent and start building up those miles!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

16k bike - 50:16 (bit slow but happy as thought poss would take longer)
4.6k run - 26:21 (ok)

I need to make a confession...
I am not losing any weight at the moment because I haven't sorted out my eating and the spare tyre has definitely gotten bigger. I'm not putting any more weight on but hover between 2-3lbs difference all the time. This is the heaviest I've EVER weighed. I need to get a grip! I need to come up with a plan and then stick to it.
