    Thanks ISOM - I have seen but not read the threads top to bottom. I don't think my challenge is quite as hard core as Weezl's in that I have a 90% target, but I will have a good look and learn. On top of that slack its also a matter of what you include in the costs, and my costs only include food for meals which is why my GC is a lot more that 3x6x30x50p = £250 - eg most fruit is eaten as snacks not meals - if I had to count all food eaten as part of my 50p limit - I would be looking at about 50% success!!

    Maybe I need to make this clearer in the thread - but for now people seem tolerant and I have been clear there is some munching going on :D. Will probably review at the end of the month
    I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
    Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
    Smiling and waving and looking so fine

  • Well it would freeze hs b************ off! Hope today was good for you me lovely!

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    It has been an ok day ISOM, working at home on the computer.

    Very frugal and a low spend day.

    I did go to post some parcels so was £3.50 spend today.

    DS being a lovely DS wanted to go to the butchers and bought in a free range chicken, sausages, and sundries. So No spends there.

    Tonight i made, fish in sauce, mash (cos i have loads of spuds) carrots, leek peas and sweetcorn. mmm

    For pud i used up some pears and eating apples, put them in a dish and made apple and pear sponge cake. The oven was on so i whipped up a batch of scones- oh and put on a leek and potato soup as well and a loaf.

    I have tidied through, done my planning and am now bored..off to see what else i can do.

    Oh i made a payment to Argos- as part of that is now on interest, so next month will be cleared. I would have done so this month but didn't want to pay out too much in case i can't get out next week. Work have been very generous though, so no complaints from me.

    Mr.B is off at the weekend so he is getting to grips with accounts. He looked very sheepish last night when i went through stuff with him. He has had his card this week for emergency, and has so far spent £10 mobile top up - which is essential in this weather, drew out £10 so i have told him that has to last until the end of next week:D He looked at me like i was crazy, so i said it is either that or {insert word of choice} i said, budget, budget, budget. I think he heard nag, nag, nag:rotfl::rotfl:

    So that is my update for today.. budget, bargainbasement bob :) x
