Morning Money savers, of the old-style variety!
Pink, Penny and Squeaky have been asked by the MSE team to divide up the longer threads into more manageable sized ones for people on a dial-up internet connection.
The 50p challenge was a hefty ole size, so here is part 2, ready, clean and new for us to start posting on....
And for those who don't know what other threads I'm talking about, click for:

Morning all
Ooooh a nice new shiney thread..woohooo
Well folks...keep your fingers crossed for me -Im off to one of the big supermarkets today and the chinese supermarket ..so this could be expensive
I figured it was time to do a stock up for winter -things like a tray of baked beans (we only like one variety here and they are only in 1 supermarket) sograbbing a tray will save us fuel going thereI normally try and avoid this supermarket as its huge and its easy to get carried away..
Im hoping to get all the dried beans n pulses for winter etc... god I hate spending money (never thought i would say that lol)
Im convincing myself that it will even its self out over the next few months..
right i had better get off..eeekk
have a great day folks...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I'm really going to have to try and do some of the recipes suggested here. Loving it!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Wow! Nice new thread! I must say that dividing it up into smaller chunks might encourage more newbees to read it. Faced with the prospect of a thread 160 pages long is daunting! At least now hopefully more people will be tempted to read and maybe post!! I have been frantically trying to keep up with the thread every day but sometimes if i have missed a day or two there are pages and pages to read!!MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. Yay, a new thread ! Now I don't have to worry about reading from the start (got to about page 40 on the last one ! lol)
Hope everyone is well xx
Bit of an update on the allotment situation - we popped along to two sites yesterday and spoke to the 'locals' and was told of various empty plots and plots that haven't been worked for a few years ! So, we're off down the council later today to bend their ears a bit ! I need to find out where we are on the list so that I can start pushing a bit ........ been on it for a fair while now so should be near the top !
We took pictures and plot numbers so can go down fore-armed ! Will keep you updated but wish us luck !
Have a good day everyone (heating engineers are here so my joyous week of mess and mayhem begins ! ):jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
Good luck Mrs Mc i am sure any food you buy today will have increased in value by the time you eat it so don't worry about spending it now................. be glad you won't have to spen it later ................LOL
jtb good luck for getting a lotty,i would love one but with my neck and starting uni i think it might be too much (our parish council is desperate for people to take them on!!)
all have a good day
