Sounds like a knitting loom to me... Have a look at this website, http://www.loomroom.com/knitting-looms.html it has some instructional videos on it!

    Cheers

    Sarah:D

THANK YOU! I managed to get the loom working. Feeling daft that I just didn't search for a 'knitting loom' to find out what it was, but I fancied my new gadget probably had a stranger sounding name!

To who asked about the Cath Kidston book...it is marvellous isn't it? definately the best sewing project book that I've bought in a long time. If you didn't like Cath's prints, I think it would still be very useful. I made the needle case from the book and I'm starting on a bird mobile!

In other news, the Moda scrap bag arrived and I cannot recommend them enough. Tons of gorgeous material strips that could be used for so many things. There is no way I could afford to buy this fabric in it's usual form.

I have realised that I find this forum style a little hard to keep up with and I end up getting muddled up with all the posts. I am more suited to messages being posted 'blog' style, I think I just find it hard to concentrate on so many posts at once. Would love to be able to comment and be helpful to everyone who posts. Alas :o

Loving the patchwork blanket a few posts up, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Love the patchwork quilt it is such pretty colours :)

No sewing for me at the moment as we are at OH parents till monday and I have spent 12 hours reading harry potter (woops) lol so I didn't even get any embroidery done. I really want to make a bag to take on our honeymoon when I get back but I don't know if I will have time as I still haven't found a pattern I like enough and I have so much to do for the wedding now that it is silly.

Well I have risisted visiting any charity shops, or surfing around for fabrics on Ebay or the web. I am determind to sort out what i have first.
There wont be any sewing done now until Monday when DGD is in the Nursery for the morning.
Any fabrics etc that I want to keep when Biggest comes over to help, I will probably have to justify to her, what its for. Then if I cannot it will have to be listed for sale or something.! I think I may have to forgo some of the dress fabrics if anything. Although Biggest knows that my sewing is important to me. It is more likely the mending pile that will be attacked, and the other clothes that I have horded for upcycling.

Somewhere I have a few books on working with a Serger/overlocker. Mostly written by americans I think, but I will look them out, and see what they are called. I am useless at remembering which is which. I do have the one about making thinks in stretch fabrics, think its by Wendy. Could lend them to you if you want for a while. Remind me on Monday if I havent mentioned them again.

Right time to make a move.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    They get thicker!

I am reading the deathly hallows at the moment because I never read it *slaps hand* I am nearly finished because I spent all day yesterday reading but I am off to the market and dunelm this morning so I can't finish it till this afternoon :( Who would have thought I would have rather been inside reading than out shopping for crafty stuff!?
