Love the quilt. Re mistakes.....I think it is Amish who make a quilt and include a mistake on purpose.....only God makes perfect.

Miss P you quilt is gorgeous, and I think you're right Florence about the Amish including a mistake like that.

I've request to join the FB group (initials BH) too, sorry I've only been lurking the last few months, sewing is on a back-burner while my sewing space has been taken over with other half's junk...sorry ...technical gear. I did visit Dunhelm Mill for the 1st time this week and bought 3 remnants for 50p each :T

    I totally agree! Fantastic.
I love my overlocker, but funnily enough since making the handbags, I have hardly used it? But I am sure that as I get more confident I will, as its so much quicker. I used it for the elves costumes earlier in the year for the nursery.

AS I type DGD1 has just emptied the whole button tin onto her table to look at! Great they will be over the floor for days if not weeks now!!! She tends to throw stuff around which is not good.

I finished my bag rufusdog, and made a matching purse and tissue cover. They are gifts for a friend on here, so I will not post Pictures here or on the bog until she has seen them herself. Dont want her to stumble on them here on MSE.

My eldest is coming over on Tuesday to help me to start getting organised, and to declutter. So anything crafty I can bare to part with, will go on facebook thingy and then anything thats got to go will either be ebayed or car booted!! mmm it will take more than one visit thats for sure.
I have so much fabric and clothes that I want to use up!
And so many lovely books and magazines that give me inspiration. Problem is it takes away the sewing time, looking through it all!.:D

I wouldn't let my Daughter help me sort my craft room. She would try to get me to get rid of stuff I want!

Had a week away and came home with a truly horrible cold, but also had lovely treat of very dear friend staying nearby the last few days so time on here has been non-existent.
However I actually wore a dress/tunic I made (from the 50p CB material) and got told it was lovely:) - before I admitted making it too!

Will be trying to catch up over the weekend, but have seen about the fb group so have asked to join MissPixie my initials are DP.

My Daughter has brought down a goody bag. Said Daughter gets lots of gifts in her job from grateful patients. There is a lot of bags....the type you buy to put gifts in. I am cutting out any bits I can use in my card making. What I want help with is.....what can I do with the cord handles.....there are all sorts of colours. They measure about 10 - 13 inches long. I also got various colours of tissue paper.

I have just got back from work and my OH went and got the overlocker and all the bags of fabric :D
In one bag is a big length (not sure how much yet) of lace, she said it was left over from when her mum did bride dresses and a bag of fringing, every colour you can think of :D I can't wait to use it now :o but it will have to wait till Sunday :(

I have no idea how to use an overlocker so something I will have to look up :o

Hope everyone has a great sewing day tomorrow and will catch up Sunday :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
