There is no preasure to be on the facebook, its just an idea if we want to swap and buy/sell between us, so that we dont need to have fees etc from ebay. We can tell each other what we have spare/selling and if we are interested. It was just an extension of the "sewing Circle" really. Least that was what I had meant when I made the suggestion yesterday.!!
Miss Pixie have also requested to join just now.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I just realised you can't post links on the forums yet because you are a 'newbie' once you have have been around a little longer and posted more you will be able to put links in your posts. I will go have a look at your blog now and follow you. If you want any help with setting anything on your blog up just ask :)

I'm not on facebook, what would joining involve? Can I just be in this group without having to get involved with anything else?

You do not have to join the facebook group like mooloo says it is a just an extension of here so that we can do the things we aren't allowed to do on the forums such as sell stuff.

You could register a facebook account just to join the group you wouldn't even have to use your real name.

Everyone who asked to join the group has been approved now if you have any problems just let me know.

Would people prefer it if the group was kept closed like it is at the moment where you have to request to join but other people who aren't members can't see the posts or would you prefer it to be open so anyone can join and see what is written without joining?

Morning All. Miss Pixie Ive just sent a request for the facebook thingy (Claire.) Nice idea. Love your new logo too. I had a distastrous days sewing yesterday. Was applying flocked vinyl to some cushions Ive made but my iron settings were wrong so it melted and I had to throw the whole thing in the bin including the cushion covers! I hate it when things go wrong!! Almost finished a bag Ive been doing from my Amy Butler fabric so will post piccies once its done. Florence, your dolls are adorable. x

Edit: Miss Pixie your quilt is perfect! Your grandma will be over the moon. x

MissPixie - what a lovely quilt, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, so simple. I love it. Your comment about your Grandma doing so much for you has bought a tear to my eye. I'm sure she will love the qilt as much as everyone else does.

Love the quilt. Re mistakes.....I think it is Amish who make a quilt and include a mistake on purpose.....only God makes perfect.

Hi everyone and welcome jem :D

I didn't get a chance to get here yesterday, work gets in the way :(

I clean for a lovely couple on a Friday and as she is a head teacher she was home today, she was clearing loads of her craft stuff and asked if i wanted her old overlocker :j and 5 carry bags of fabric :j of course I nearly hugged her :rotfl: my OH is picking it up later as i couldn't walk home with it all.

MissPixie :D I have asked to join the FB group (Susan W) :D
Your grandma's quilt is beautiful, she is going to be so pleased with it :T

Im off to my No.1 DS's tomorrow so no sewing, as much as I want to see him I want to catch up with my sewing too :o

My mum gave me a quilt that my step-dads sis had started but didn't want sao asked if I wanted it. She has started hand sewing squares using Laura Ashley fabric and there are tons of ready cut squares with it :j I will have to take some pic's :o and try get them on Sunday :o
Better go nearly time for work again :(
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
