zombiecazz I love your napkins especially the mushrooms. Wow they are brilliant. did you follow a pattern or sew them freehand?
This isn't exactly sewing but I mentioned I was making a denim rag bag and Hart44 asked to see pics. It's not totally finished yet but I've done enough to give you an idea of what it's going to look like. If you're interested I've posted a pic on my blog.0 -
I love the bag PepPop and look forward to seeing it finished.
I want to make a sock monkey but I can't find any socks with coloured heels and toes. Where are you all getting your socks from?0 -
Thanks flossie217. I've seen those kind of socks in Tesco if that's any help.0

Hi Flossie,
Not sure if these are any good. They work out about 79p per pair. (although maybe too many unless you making a family of sock monkeys!!)

Rosepink - you dont have to have curtain material, any contrasting material will be fine, I would suggest you get something of a similar weight, perhaps a similar type material in a contrasting colour.
I have made curtains out of all sorts, old blankets, old duvet covers etc etc.
As for the socks, I bought kids socks from Wilkinsons for mine , they were about £1.50 for 4 pairs (IIRR) and I just keep an eye out in the cheap shops for appropriate ones.
Loving the funky 60's mushroom napkins - they are great, those curtains you cut up look like the ones my mum had in our caravan in the late 70's - brill! You can stand there and agonize........

Well, I have been poorly and off work so I have been sat sewing in my more lucid moments and have come up with these:
Book Bags with rosette:
Felt Flowers - brooches or attached to bags?
Blue taggie for my soon to be born nephew:
Again: Sorry for the size I was sure I had resized them all down!!You can stand there and agonize........

Your bag was well worth waiting to see (even if it's not quite finished) you are very clever.
