Thanks Hart for reminding me about free listings on ebay this weekend I sold all my dresses at the last free listings!

love the chicken doorstop, I bought an owl doorstop from B and M it was identical to laura ashleys owl doorstop but not at their sale price of 18.75 but at £3.99!!

My DS is feeling left out of my sewing projects and asked me to make him a wallet, I am going to try and make this one using his most loved jeans that got ripped at the crotch last week
http://www.noodle-head.com/2011/03/celebrate-boy-tutorial-basic-boys.html and my clasp have arrived and I am gonna make my mum one for her birthday on monday.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Thank you irishgirl for the link, I love Anna's blog site, I have some lovely fabric come today for my step-dad's wallet I am going to make but I was not sure what tutorial to use and Noodleheads is so simple it has solved that prob :D
I love B&M stuff :D I also have a HomeBargains a few shops down from it so always go round both when Im in Alfreton (and always end up spending far too much :rotfl:)
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

    Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help at all but my 90 year old aunt is coming to visit later this year & wants to look at fabric shops for pure wool fabric as she still makes her own clothes!!

I live in Banbury, Oxfordshire & am willing to drive her a reasonable distance if someone can recommend anywhere suitable?

    Thanks!

Oh my, just got my first copy of Mollie Makes this morning..lovely ideas in there...just skimmed through so far, but will have a proper look later.

Looking into the possibility of teaching some classes at the college where I work. It's probably going to be mainly knitting, but I might stray into sewing as well. It is going to be in the Kirsty Allsop "Homemade Home" genre...functional and funky. Only discussed it at college yesterday, so off to do some research this weekend and see what I come up with....makes a change from teaching IT!

I had a lovely time in Dunelm Mill this week and got some more tea towels with pretty patterns. I might use them for some bags or patchwork...we'll see.
Also got a cream shower curtain, so I am all set to go!

Going to have a go at a wall hanging this weekend, as well as some little bags...my first go, so wish me luck!!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

This is the first ever issue...thought I would have a look as I love doing lots of different crafts.

There seems to be a few projects with instructions and templates (mainly sewing, one crochet). Then there's loads of inspirational ideas from all over the world, all given with online or book details. There are a couple of interviews with designers, showing home and/or work places. Lots and lots of adverts for suppliers, some I haven't come across before. Colourfull, but not too glossy, if that makes sense. I could seriously get lost in this magazine!!

Will report back again once I have had a proper look....this may be some time! :D

If it is any good let us know as you can get 3 issues for £5 here which is tempting anyway without having even seen it yet! :D

Don't know if I can sew tonight, have a horrible headache caused by the pressure of the weather. I tacked her thing earlier but had to undo the whole lot again as it didn't sit right :(
