Hi Everyone,
I have been been trying to recycle as much fabric as i can by using unwanted bedding/clothes and buying sheets from the charity shop:money:. However the time has come for me to buy some fabric and i want to do it online.
Where does everyone buy theirs from? Can anyone give me some good links that sell fabric at reasonable/discount prices?. I want to buy different types of fabric but don't know wher to start and what prices are reasonable.

In the beach hut - I thought the same as you, its quite summery in a beach kind of way.
I buy all my materials from a local fabric store in an industrial estate near work. This stuff was 50p for about 2m at 140 wide. I bought a load of these off cuts to make bags, makeup bags from so i can prob make these bags for about 8p cost.
Im sorry Dizzy, I have yet to buy fabric online so cant verify but this site was suggested by someone a while back:

I just popped into asda to get something for dinner tonight on the way to work (TMI...?) and they had lots of their winter stuff on sale (hats, scarves, gloves, socks) so I bought loads for sock monkeys and other 'recycling'! Going to try and make clothes and accessories for my sock monkeys....Hi Everyone,

Dizzytina - nice one on the recycling. :T I tried that too then got sucked into buying from gorgeous online discount shops! I bought my first fabric from ebay as people sell all sorts on there quite reasonably, but I've also had loads of samples that are brill. Terry's Fabrics (http://www.terrysfabrics.co.uk/) sends huge ones (about A4 size, and their material is quite cheap) and Laura Ashley also provide good sized swatches you could use in patchworking? Charity shops are handy for finding curtains to cut up! Good luck on your mission

Alimarcle Your Goose and Chicken are fantastic :T:T:T
Dopey_Dora Love your quilt and tissue holders - very clever
Kandipandi love your book bag. Very pretty.
I have finally finished my gloves and have started to make a bag out of OH old denims. Not sure if i should include it here as there is no sewing involved. Its a woven rag bag. I like it so far so I'll maybe post a pic when I'm finished.0 -
hart44 Love your cushion.0
