Oh you are so luck Bunny :DI would love to go to one, maybe will do one day as Im not too far from Birmingham NEC but time and money is a pain at the moment. Anyway would LOVE to hear all about it when you are back :D
I do have a lovely fabric shop (it's like walking into heaven for me :rotfl:) just a few miles from me and the prices are so cheap, they have some lovely Cath Kidston type fabric in at the moment and they have things the ladies in the sewing group have done displayed around the shop. I must get some ( mental note to self NO. NO. NO :rotfl:)

I posted an entry on my blog about my visit to the Creative Stitches show, spent a fortune!!!!

I did more work on my bunting today and it is looking much better than I expected considering it is like the 3rd thing ever I have sewn :) Although I still have the hard part of attaching the top..

I just sew mine onto half inch tape. Stitch 2 lines as I find that one row of stitches makes the bunting twist over itself.
You'll know what I mean once you get started on that bit.

Hello all you wonderful peeps :) I am after a bit of sewing machine advice. Firstly I am brand new to them so I am not sure of all the proper names of part of the sewing machine but I will do my best to describe what I need to know.

I had a delta experssions portable mini sewing machine for xmas. I used it on xmas day and all was working fine, just had a play with it make sure I could do straight lines etc. Unfortunately the instructions got thrown out by accident so I can't refer to them.

Today I have to come to it and accidentally pulled the thread out of the needle. I have threaded the needle back in (not sure if there is a specific way to do this) and followed an online video for a different machine about trying to create a loop. I have managed to create a loop but this didnt seem to help. I have 2 threads, 1 through the needle and 1 up from the bobbin. However my machine wont actually sew. When trying it sort of attempts to attach the thread to the fabric but then the thread falls out exceptionally easily. The bobbin thread is not attaching to anything and only seems to be tangling.

I am really confused and getting really frustrated :( If anyone could give me any advice I would REALLY appreciate it.

    thanks ever so much

    Babymoo x

I think nykied is probably right but googling your machine (I've tried quickly but haven't found it) for the instructions would be worth 10 minutes. I think mini machines can be a bit temperamental.

    Thanks - I'm very proud! :o

No, just strips of fabric cut from the long end of a fat quarter. I was going to use one of my jelly roll strips but I couldn't find one I was happy with.

I don't think it's me that's right, more likely to be one of the people who answered after me ;)

I've looked on Google too and I can't even see the machine on there, never mind the instructions...
