On a sewing-related note, I've sewn the outside bit of my Kindle Keeper, but I have one question:
HOW ON EARTH DO YOU SEW IN A STRAIGHT LINE WHEN YOU DOING ZIGZAG STITCH????
Actually, forget this dumbass question. I just looked at that thing they call a foot rather than watching the stitches go from side to side0 -
Morning everyone
Im glad you sorted you problems nykied and Cuddles
I always have to watch the front of the foot when sewing, its the only way I can get a straight line (well most of the time :rotfl:)
That PC virus has been catching a lot of people out  my OH is a PC geek and fixes PC's for everyone around here (he's looking into starting his own PC business) he has put Avast on mine as its free and it does all up dates without you knowing.
Now for my sewing news :rotfl: I love being off work and haveing my evenings free for sewingas I have made another 1hr bag, a pleated make-up bag and another buttercup bag.
I wanted to make a small card wallet (as I have ltoo many loyalty cards) and have found this to do tomorrow

Thanks for the advice about my interfacing, I think I will try the sew-in interfacing. I've got some heavy atm so I'll experiment first before I commit to it. Its a complete !!!!!!!
Anyway I'm going here today and I'm really looking forward to it. I think I'll have a mooch round the fabric shops in Brighton as well, theres a Fabricland, C&H Fabrics, and some smaller retailers. Bring on the fabric loveliness!!!!!!!!!!!
btw, heres some more card wallet tutes, I'm going to get round to making one as I can't close my purse due to loyalty cards (isn't it ironic that we have a loyalty card for LOADS of shops?!) but got other things on my plate!0 -

I do have a lovely fabric shop (it's like walking into heaven for me :rotfl:) just a few miles from me and the prices are so cheap, they have some lovely Cath Kidston type fabric in at the moment and they have things the ladies in the sewing group have done displayed around the shop. I must get some ( mental note to self NO. NO. NO :rotfl:)Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Hi All, I have an image in my head of something I'd like to make for DH it's a patchwork type quilt but has an illustrated cushion front as the central panel - was wondering if anyone has seen any examples of something like this or if it's just a daft idea.
Any feedback or thoughts gratefully accepted.2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy

It's called 'The Art of Knitting' and it won't be with the normal magazines, as it's attached to a big bit of card with knitting needles and two balls of wool next to the magazine.0 -

What you need to do is measure your cushion panel, the one I have for next quilt is 15 inches across I think. So I thought I would divide that into threes making 5 inches squares - but this is the size of the finished squares, I needed to add 1/4 inch seams so that means cutting out 5 1/2 inch squares.
Hope this is what you wanted to know, Rufus xx0
