    I havent sewn since I heard I was moving last Autumn. Went to start sewing some valentines hearts yesterday, to find my machine had seized up! I googled the company I bought it from, and they have serviced it for me today. I was lucky that one of thier employees goes to the Leisure centre my daughters other half works, so I dropped the machine there yesterday, and he collected it last night. He rang me today, machine all serviced, and done £35, and he will drop it off again at the same place tomorrow, when he goes there, saving me £30 in delivery Charges.
    so I will recommend them no doubt as servicing for that price is Amazing around here!
    (My machine is a Viscount, Silver 502, bought in 2003.) and used to make wedding dresses, curtains, and many other things.
    so looking forward to getting it back and sewing again.!
    When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Well I'm still on page 105, it's taking me a long time to catch up and I have a hundred new favourites :T

    I've been trying out my sewing machine which I've had for nearly a year and so far these are my makes;

    Aprons;

    My other experiments aren't really good enough to share, none the less I am improving :beer:

    Midge & Hart - brilliant makes - love them all.

    Are the hearts scented Hart, and if so, what with?

    Thank you everyone for the kind words :D

    cuddles I put some dried rose petal potpourri in the small one, I get it from a local shabby chic shop that has just opened in town (it's heaven for country/shabby stuff :D) they do wonderful stuff at a great price (a small organza bag of lavender or rose stuff is 70p) I go in and get fresh stuff when I need it. I also got some victorian garden mix potpourri from Ebay but it is a bit christmasey (lovely and spicey).

    Laura, your aprons look wonderful :) and I love the heart pin cushion straps, very clever way to keep the pins handy :)
    Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

    Thanks for that Hart.
    I've tried oils to scent things like that, but can't find any that really work.
    Do you mix the potpourri with stuffing?

    I ordered my first jelly roll yesterday - 'It's A Hoot'. I can't wait for it to get here, I'm going to have a go at a Kindle cover.

    Yes :D I usually put stuffing in the top and point at the bottom then put the potpourri in the middle the way I dont use too mucjh but they still smell good :D I have completely filled a smaller heart with lavender befoe now but I prefer some padding in mine :D

    I have just done a nice red pair, will post a pic later today :D
