Danables, thats fantastic. Absolutely love it!!!
Im gearing myself up to do a hexi quilt at the moment but OH (who knows nothing about sewing) tells me I should just stick to patchwork. Have to say I know nothing about it either so dont have a clue what to do. Is patchwork squares or log cabin easier than hexies? I want to do something like you have done but will do whatever the easiest TBH as getting into new territory. Do you use loads of wadding to quilt it? I have been looking at books on quilting but not sure which to buy yet so a bit clueless as to how to quilt and bind etc. Well done again. Honestly think its fabulous!! x0 -

Danables - That's utterly gorgeous! I think I might have to pop one of those on my list of things to do.

I am put to shame by all the lovely work. Ihavent touched my sewing machine since September before I went on my holidays! EEK. I had so many ideas to do things, but then the move was put into progress and sewing came to a halt! I did start to cut out some mini santa stockings, that I was going to put into an advent garland, but didnt have enough felt for the numbers, and ground to a halt, as I dont want to spend on anything more until I move. With that being delayed now until next week, it was a bit too late.
Maybe it will be a good one next year? Although I may try and make it, if this weather continues, and I fear that we may be delayed our move further. I hope not as I was looking forward to centrally heated warmth, instead of storage heaters and random electric fires!
I think that the quilts etc are stunning, and I feel so guilty that I do not use my talents, or my stash of fabrics to a better extent. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
