Thats cool, I'm still going, not as quick as you! Advantage of that is that I can steal some of your ideas for ornaments:D especially like the paper chain & the pudding!

I must admit I was running out of ideas, hence the double up on some. The paper chain was very fiddly!

  • I was wondering where everyone had gone lol

Pooky lovely Advent Calander - I thought I was already following you blog but seems I wasnt so you now have a new follower.

And nice to see all the other makes too.

I have finished all my quilt tops, complete with borders and am just waiting for the wadding to arrive. I hope I manage to get the quilts all done in time! I have to take photos still - the light here is rubbish, then I will post my progress.

Oh yeah I also finally finished that sock monkey I started in the Summer - and what an ugly thing he is lol! Pennib's and all the other lovely sock monkeys on here put mine to shame! The boys love him though & keep having tug-o-war over him, so at least I know my sewing is strong enough. But I think this one will be dissapearing out of the house soon. (will post pics later so you can see just how ugly he is!)

Think we must be the only part of the country that hasn't had any snow yet, it is very cold though brrrr - the boys and I are still in our PJ's, I am trying to phych (spelling?) myself up to go out today lol - Soft Southerner lol!
  • I havent really been posting very regularly these days although I have to say that I am always lurking in the background and am sure to read all the posts without fail. Just dont get much time to make things these days unfortunately but always like to check in and see what my fellow sewers have been up to!! Lovely makes everyone. 23rd spiral - look forward to seeing the finished result. I love that little block with the cow right in the middle - its mega cute!! Tina, your bag is brilliant! Pennib, love that little brooch. There are so many things on here that are so inspiring and just make me even more frustrated that I have no time!!

I did manage to make some giant Santa Sacks today as I got snowed in (which pleased me greatly!)

Few more piccies on my blog (via homepage) if anyone wants to have a look.

The snow has just started again so fingers crossed its just as bad tomorrow and I can get another day off!! :snow_grin x

Lovely bags Pootleflump. Had a peek on your page and really like the cupcake tag that you made, looks really good.
The thread has slowed down somewhat. Everybody snowed in and busy sewing!

Cheers! I put loads of little sparkly gems on it as it a gift tag for my niece who, like all 8 year olds, loves glittery stuff!! I was looking at your blog last night and love your teacosys!! Im snowed in for the 2nd day in a row so been making an oilcloth make up bag for a gift. Had I realised what a b*gger it was to sew with I would never have bought it!! This is only the 2nd thing Ive made with it and its a total pain!! x

I've never used oilcloth before, is it slippy? What a shame are you going to soldier on with it?
We managed to get to the shops yesterday and got a load of supplies, good job we did cos I wouldnt
want to venture out in it now! Having another go at some brooches.
