Dizzytina thats a great bag your daughter will love it.
Here is a brooch that I had a go at after browsing blogs and seeing that a lot of people are making these sort of things. As I've got lots of bits of material it's just the job for using up bits. Made the yellow felt but still not got the hang of it so its a bit puffy rather than flat! It's 3 1/2" by just over 2" so quite big but thought it would look good attached to a brown scarf.

hi everyone, i havent done much sewing this week - too much worry about a sick friend. anyway, i made these over the last few weeks - some more random scrappy wonkey log cabin blocks for a some day quilt. BIG THANK YOU to SarahJovi - you might recognise all the fabrics in the bottom right block! :T yes, i managed to ply some away from my mum!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

They had packs of felt in The Works yesterday for £1.99, the sheets are A4 size and you get a good variety of colours. Hope it helps someone, Rufus xx0

Sarah:Di thought it would be nice to make some quilt blocks only using scraps donated from individual people. yes we havnt met, but that'll be my MSE SarahJovi quilt block!
