Hi Danemi1, I have that machine :T and I love it. I've had it for nearly 2 years now and have had no problems with it at all. I too went to my local store and tried a few different machines and I liked the feel of this one the most so decided to go for it.

I love the fact that it's computerised and you can move the needle up and down at the press of a button. The range of decorative stitches are fab, espcially for someone like me who enjoys craft sewing. I would highly recommend this machine (although the only one slight negative is that I would prefer if it could go a little faster at its max). Hope that helps.
Thank you so very very much hun = all good to know - are you an experienced sewer or were you when you first started using it and was it easy to use?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Xmas Saver!
hi everyone, thanks for all the chat about sewing machines... i've told my dad we are buying mum a new machine for xmas/birthday... she's still using a 40yr old one and although it's a work horse it doesnt even go backwards! and its more hassle than it's worth quite a lot of the time.

here's my latest Work in Progress, a cushion cover kinda copied from one in TKMax that was too much money and badly made and also didnt have an opening for washing!
It's been a sunny but chilly Sunday afternoon here, so just right for some hand stitching.

Emzy 81 - if you post pictures of your makes I'm sure someone will advise.
Well done on having a go!

  • Those gingerbread men are so sweet cuddles. How do you get the cinnamon scent? Is it just from a jar of ground cinnamon?

23rd spiral, the cushion cover looks very Christmassy. Very nice.

    Thanks Georgiabay :j

We use the scents for the scented wax we sell on our website, so just injected them.
Will do some Pine, Butter Shortbread, Christmas Cedar and Mulled Wine scents too.:rotfl:

wow, loving all the makes. real inspirtation.

i've been on cushion making today. while my little boy slept and the two older children played wii and hubby played trains i grabbed an hour to myself. so i have made 4 rather scrummy cushions. in guess what colour ?................ PURPLE,lol. They look fab on sofa. will take a pic in the morning.

was going to try to make some more felt crafts later, but in a bit of a snuggly mood now. so might do that tomoz evening.

Afraid I don't have a pattern danemi. Just a template, and I made it up as I went along.

Thanks for the advice guys I am leaning towards the more expensive machine as it does seem to have a lot more on it and Im sure I will grow into it!

Danemi, I am a fairly experienced sewer, but I have found it very straight forward to use. I think it helps that you can control the speed and keep it slow when first learning and getting used to the machine.
