Hi Tete, thanks! a lot of the fabric was from family and friends so it means quite a bit, there's some vintage Liberty in there too. you're the second person to recomend Berwick Street - and as it's sorta on the way between the V&A and Euston, that might be my afternoon sorted!

Thanks Tamster, heard ladies talking about that in a craft shop... bit pricy for the time i reckon i'll have avalible. cheers though - i hope you have a nice time, bravo your mum!

Cuddles that is lovely - is the back patchwork too?? I was thinking about making one of these for some friends who have just had a baby girl... got lots of "finishing" to do first however!

    Hello.
We are trying to sell some curtain material at the moment but we have been asked about how much fabric would be needed for a certain size.
    This is the question:

    Hello
I've got two windows, the smaller is 89" across (measuring the rail) and 90" drop (below the window sill), the larger is 163" across and 108" to the floor. How much fabric would I need to buy in order to do double length pencil pleat curtains?

Please could someone help us with these measurements so we may actually be able to sell some?

My partner lost his job and because he was owed money the material was given as a form of payment!! It is 140cms wide.

Any help would really be appreciated, thanks. :)

140cm is about 55 inch have a look here you can type in all the measurements in imperial or metric and get the converstions which should be able to help you work it out

scroll to length conversion calculator type in your figures and hit calculate

I've just found this site for videos and tips about patchwork and quilting. http://justhands-on.tv/
It is a monthly subscription site but there are some videos which can be viewed for free. It's a pleasant way to pass 10 minutes.
