  • crazymom is my fav too!!

    Thanks!

It was much easier than it looks - you basically stitch two pairs of strips together and then use a triangle ruler (can be done with a square ruler too but not as easy) to cut a zig zag down the strips. Not sure if that is clear enough????? I am not sure how much detail I can give, with the pattern coming from a book!

My biggest problem is time :( I would just love to stay at home and make quilts like Amanda does on her blog.

I will have to get that book, it looks amazing (I think it is in my Amazon watch list)
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

  • I did a sewing elective at University and really enjoyed it. The class all recreated the cover of a book. I chose the hungry caterpillar. I made each section of the body with a piece of food underneath, all sewn from materials. :D
  • Hi Danemi

When I was buying mine the guy said that whilst singer were good, the 2 leading names these days are Brother and Janome so if what he said was right you shouldnt worry too much about deviating. The machine you linked to looks fine. I dont think it has an automatic needle threadle (although I maybe missed it.)

If you looking for something thats mega simple and easy to use I can recommend the one I have (this one) although am sure there are loads of machines out there that are just as good. I love mine cause its all computerised and you dont have to change stitch lengths etc. Good luck with your hunt.

Hi to all the new people. :j

I agree with Pootle i have just bought a brother computerised machine (yes Georgia that is how i did the stitching on the crayon roll i posted the other day:D) and i am a complete novice. It is so so easy to use and comes with all the different feet for doing the embroidery stitches and i would highly recommend getting one.
