Hi everyone, you all seem very friendly on here, been lurking for a while, reading through all old threads.

Started sewing again after a long break of years, i'm looking for a pattern or info on making a Moroccan Pouffe or a Round or Cube Pouffe.
Does anyone have any idea where I can find one, looked on "net" but nothing.

    thanks:)

I think these are just like gumdrop pillows (Amy Butler does a pattern for them). Here is one example and if you google gumdrop pillows you can get more free tutorials.

Sue, I love your fabrics (particularly the hexies one)

JCR, where did you get the lovely fabric in the pink cushion with the little girl on it? My niece would love it!!
  • Thanks for that looks very easy to do.

It has one or two things in by Tone Finnanger and a beautiful russian doll , bags and allsorts i really like it. they have another special edition one out too . It's on their website here think i'll have to have me that too.

  • I have that magazine too and agree that it's great.

i'm more of a lurker than a poster but i bought this today in my asda and it's fab . i've just bought a new machine after doing no sewing for years. Thought i'd start simple and some great makes in it. I'll crawl back in my corner now. lol.
See what you did - i bought it too! It looks good, and once you've used up the materials they provide you can re-use patterns and make up your own stuff. I'm going to use the russian doll template to applique one onto a t-shirt.
I love russian dolls, so I was sold straight away.
Guess what I'm doing this weekend!!

  • Hi everyone. I've just finished reading the whole thread - bit of an epic! I love the sock monkeys and all the other stuff sooooo cute. After many years of not doing anything like this I decided I want to make a wall hanging for my lounge so I thought I'd join in here. I'm going to quilt and embroider it initially then maybe do some beadwork and applique later on. It's going to be quite abstract, so not really like the lovely things you all make here, but I'd like to join in and share the enthusiasm.

At the minute I've got as far as having the design drawn out and taped to my kitchen table, hopefully off out tomorrow to buy some fabric, batting and threads, then I'll be off. It's going to be a long road as I'm doing it all by hand, so I hope you're all going to be around for the next few years!
  • Hi alec and welcome to the thread.

Your project sounds awesome. I can't wait to see the pictures - we'll need lots of them as a work in progress.
In your epic read did you notice the reference to Teesha Moore journals? I can imagine your quilt being like that.

Hi, thanks, yes, kind of like that, only I'm going for monochrome rather than those fab brights. I'm going to try to be organised enough to take photos from the template stage right the way through.
