jcr the cushions look fantastic on the bed
your DD must love them
Sarah well done on the crayon roll, I still have not got round to doing one for my DGD (maybe I will by xmas :rotfl:).
I love keeping up on here even if I dont have much time to say Hi to you all. Im working on my yellow and green patchwork quilt still, it is almost finished (just backing to put on) I will be able to use my walking foot I brought nearly 5 weeks ago for the 1st time
I just want to show you all this beautiful quilt I found in a CS for £3.99 (I just had to have it for inspiration :rotfl:)Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

I was shocked at the price too. There was no price tag on it so when I asked I was expecting it to be at least £10 so when the lady said it was £3.99 I nearly took her arm off :rotfl: my friend who works in the shop said it had been in for just over a week and if it had been blue she would of had it.
I realy want to be able to free motion quilting so going over this quilt has helped me get to see how it is doneGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

thanks Georgia and Pootle - both are to the same tutorial, and it's great - i whipped up 2 in about an hour, (not counting the fabric oohing and arhing time and cutting first.) i'm quite rubbish at following patterns as i get confused easily, but these were really easy. i'll post a pic when i can. (oh and that Muffins and More blog is great! thanks!)Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »I'm trying really hard not to rush out of work to my sewing machine to try this out! :0) that's what i was like when i first did it! scary but fun! do let us see what you create!craftygranny wrote: »i'm more of a lurker than a poster but i bought this today in my asda and it's fab . i've just bought a new machine after doing no sewing for years. Thought i'd start simple and some great makes in it. I'll crawl back in my corner now. lol.
ooh granny, that looks good! is it? is it good value?
on a related topic, i just thought i'd mention that the Number 1 Crossstitcher magazine is about to go through a revamp... this issue is a bit more modern, but the next one looks like a mix between a cath kidson catalogue and a Country Living photo shoot! whoop! nice to see publishers finally following the trend.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
craftygranny thank you for finding and telling us about another wonderful sewing book
I did find one a week back called ''Popular Quilting Home Accessories'' it has some wonderful (and simple) projects Im itching to start :rotfl:
Just seen they have a web site http://www.popularcrafts.com/
I have a whole week off work next week so Im going to be sewing crazy :rotfl:
I have a problem though I have been buying all this wonderful fabric (I will just put links on as there are a few pic's) and Im not realy sure what to do with it, my original plan was to make a quilt but Im not sure where to start as I dont want to just do squares as I have been doing.
Any suggestions greatly received

:rotfl:I'm the same. I spend way more time choosing a fabric (and I've not got that much to choose from) than actually making something.0 -
Hi everyone, you all seem very friendly on here, been lurking for a while, reading through all old threads.
Started sewing again after a long break of years, i'm looking for a pattern or info on making a Moroccan Pouffe or a Round or Cube Pouffe.
Does anyone have any idea where I can find one, looked on "net" but nothing.
thanks:)0 -
