it has a thin single quilt inside - I have pieced the widths together - then cut a quilt cover to pieces - I bought it last year - cotton one side and the main side was silk and embroidery - both of which started to fray just leaving a redundant cotton side(burgundy) so thought why not put it to use - then I put both pieces back to back - then folded in the quilt - turned the cotton side in a bit and bobs your uncle if you have any idea at all what I am on about - wel done - dont know if I do - lol - anyway hubby is delighted with it = he likes to snuggle up when he is watching telly at night - after spending 14 hours out of the house when he gets in after tea - he relaxes! - bless him
  • Tamster, love your quilt.

jcr, I'm another purple lover, great cushions.

Danemi, well done with your bag and throw. The detailing on the bag is great.

Hart you could put a border around your backing if you have no luck at the CS.

Here is my latest quilt, not really what I had imagined but it is one less Christmas Pressie to worry about

I still have to quilt it, so maybe I will like it more when it is totally finished! More about it on my blog :)

That's lovely! I've got a jelly roll which I must find a use for - something like this would be ideal!

I did a sewing elective at University and really enjoyed it. The class all recreated the cover of a book. I chose the hungry caterpillar. I made each section of the body with a piece of food underneath, all sewn from materials. :D

That sounds like a lovely present for a young child. :)

Supercat your Hungry Caterpillar wall hanging sounds great!

I love all the patchwork cushions & throws (but then I love ALL patchwork lol)

And I love the YoYos on your bag danemi - might have to do something similar if I get round to making something for myself again!

I have been very busy this week - I whipped up this Little Cap last night in under 2 hrs!!! I have never managed to finish anything in an evening let alone 2 hrs!!! I love it and am really pleased with it. The only thing is it is a bit small for The Little Man who LOVES wearing hates so the Little Fella will be wearing it - and he HATES wearing hats lol!! More on my blog...

(seems I am very LOVED up today lol apolgies for all the loves)
  • That's a great little hat Tamster. Well done on getting it done in two hours.

Lovely little hat, I can't believe it only took you 2 hours. It takes me that long to cut out.

I'm looking enviously at the patchwork & quilts because I'd love to do it. I had one go and my squares didn't match up so I gave up and went back to thngs that turn out OK.

Love the bag with the yo yos too.
