  • Hi, i posted this on the DIY section and was told about this thread, hoping someone can give me a bit of help or point me in the right direction!!

    Hi all,

Not sure if this is in the right place or not, i'm looking at ways of saving money etc and we are going away at october and it will include Halloween. We are going as a family and everyone else is dressing up, normally i don't really 'do' halloween. I feel like i have to dress my little girl up and came up with the idea of a cute pumpkin design that can be used again for dress up. I like the idea of doing like a pale orange leotard and tutu (like classic tutu that sticks out) with stripy tights or whatever. Now my problem is making the tutu lol. I've no idea what material will be best, if i want it to be a stiff tutu and where to start with making it. I've been bought a small sewing machine and have some very basic skills but prepared to practice and have a go.

Can anyone help at all with what to do and where to get the material from? all the instruction i can find are charged (like $19) and i can only seem to find bright orange tulle (i'm presuming this is what i need to use?)

  • Thanks Tamster I designed them myself by drawing the shape I wanted onto greaseproof paper and using that as my pattern. Sorry I haven't got a tutorial :(
