Here is the start of an applique small cushion. It's no where near finished yet, am going to try and quilt it.....it might end up in the bin:o
Think I'm going to put the little bird in as a signature bit! Some of the bits arn't attached yet so can move stuff around still. Has anybody heard of tampodouring (think might have got that wrong) where you slit open the back and stuff some of the applique?

Loving all the creations here... I made an owl door stop yesterday but was not happy with the wings and feet, so gonna get my thinking cap on.

Is there instructions for the cube door stop?

has anyone made a beanbag yknow a big one that you can sit on - not a small cushion - someone at work is elling some of the balls that go inside them

Have looked and found this tutorial - am just wondering how hard it would be??

Pennib your cushion looks stunning already. i would love to have ago at something like are you following a tutorial or pattern? I haven't heard of tampouring i'm afraid although i'm sure some of the clever ladies on here will have.

Mooloo your bags are great. i love the heart one in particular. I am in the middle of making a faux leather bag at the moment for my friend. i have to say it has turned out better than i expected but i am struggling getting the straps to attach as the layers are too thick so i was thinking of handstitching them on but will need some new needles first.

You might find it easier if you try leather needles. They have a triangular tip and cut through the fabric/leather rather than just pierce it. You can buy leather hand needles and if you hunt around you should be able to get them for a sewing machine as well.

It doesnt look too hard, just sounds a bit complicated.
My last bean bag was years ago. Hardest part was getting the pellets in without them flying all over the place!! :D

  • I see you have all been very busy again Ladies and what wonderfull things you have been making.
    I made this bag yesterday
    006-1.jpg007-1.jpg
I just need to adjust the strap slightly as it is higher on one side than the other
and this one I made today
    004-2.jpg005-2-1.jpg

The one I made today was made from a couple of teatowels I got from Dunelm for about 25p each, the lining is made from a Hobbs pillowcase I bought from a cs and the inner pockets from the emergency bundle I bought from fabric rehab.
