.I've cut out all my pieces, gathered all my bits and hoping that the LO sleeps for another 1/2 hour so I can at least get started.....r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

I've just been looking for some of my offcuts of fabric to make a doorstop and I realise that I gave most of them to the local school a few years ago when doing a declutter
.
So let this be a lesson to you all to never throw anything away!
I did find lots of unfinished projects though but I doubt I'll finish them now.0 -

aw now on - cmon how many ufo's have you got - why not give them a go - imagine how good you will feel when you finish each one - or are they sooo big that it would be a nightmare - I still have lots of papercrafting ufo's I have to finish but to be honest I am so into learning how to sew at the mo I just dont want to do them - naughty girl - I have done paper for about 6 or 7 years so my craft room is full of paper - guess where I now sit most of the time - next door in the conservatory - MY BAD!!!!0 -
I bet you could make a sock monkey danemi. The tutorial posted on the previous page looked relatively easy, but I kn ow what you mean - its a daunting task isn't it!
PS - i've now made my own piping (a first for me) to use instead of ric rac on my pencil roll. LO hs woken up but as its chucking it down outside she's been stationed in front of cbeebies in a rare day indoorsr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

They are quick to sew on the machine and then they take ages to stuff so that the stuffing isnt lumpy and it's evenly distributed, and then sewing up takes a while to make sure its all straight and in the right place....and then the knitting (usually do that in the eve watching tv) So not something you can knock up in an hour. But keep practising....dont know about staying up till 1am tho:( or pm me if you want one urgently;)0 -
Georgiababy; what a bummer giving away stuff and then wanting it at a later date.
Done that myself when we moved....got rid of some huge bags of off cuts, now I need them! Sure you can finish your projects, we will cheer you on. :0)
Danemi1; I bet its lovely sitting in a conservatory, we have a very small porch that I sometimes sit in.....hmm might put the machine in there. Whatever you do dont get rid of your paper as seen above with the fabric you will need it sometime in the future!!0 -
well I am feeling extremely pleased with myself. I've managed to make a pencil roll! The pictures aren't that clear, but the front material is beatrix potter green toile print. I'm a bit beatrix potter nutty! its for my 18 month old wee girl, although she isn't getting her hands on it until we go on holiday in a couple of weeks. I really can't tell you how pleased I am at how it turned out.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
