I bought that duvet set. I bought the largest size, cut it down to make a tied bed throw using batting in the middle. By knot 100 I was vowing never to tie a quilt again. It's a bit warm for me at the moment but the dog finds it comfortable for his mid morning snooze.
I made some beautiful bunting for the girls next door but I forgot to take a picture to show you before handing it over. There is still a nice sized piece left and can't decide what to make with that. It isn't very thick but it is pretty.0 -

Sounds interesting! Whats a tied throw? :think:0 -
Here is Barry the Biker no2! He has lots of piercings...including a bellybutton and ear piercing....ouch. He has skull and crossbones and heart tatoo, a watch, chains and red hanky for greasy bikes! The back of his 'leather' has a picture of fire on it.0

Maybe I should have said a knotted quilt - don't know really.
I sandwiched the back, batting and top layers as normal and instead of sewing the layers together I knotted them at equal distances.
I'm hopeless at knots so I'm not expecting it to stay together for long.0 -
