Can I ask, what is that little house thing and how did you make it? It looks like something I might want to steal.
Kandipandi - I too stole the idea! There is a great tutorial - http://uklassinus.blogspot.com/2008/08/fabric-dollhouse-tutorial.html
Hope the link works. She has some FAB ideas on her blog.

3 issues of Sew magazine for £3 (I've looked through the last 3 pages & couldnt see if anyone has put it up, apologise if they have.
I bought an issue of it a couple of months ago as I liked the Free pattern that came with it and found it a really good mag.
Normally £5.99 and comes with a free pattern (they say its worth £7) each issue. Other projects inside to try out, clear instructions that are accessible for both beginners and more advanced.
I know this sounds like a sale spiel but I dont work for them, just thought it was a fab idea.
Now I'm off to look back on this thread at what you gals have been upto and save some project ideas

will it work if you were just sewing a single piece of cotton? i think if you were sewing something with wadding, its best to take the

I'm learning a lot today - first how to add a photo and now how to multiquote... i've never posted a message that's so long before! sorry, but it's really not my fault, it's all the chat on here!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »23rd Spiral, I love glove monster, but I LOVE-LOVE Hoot!! How did you make him, do you have a pattern?
Awe shucks. Thank you everyone for saying nice things about Hoot. I'll let him know. I didn't follow a real pattern, just drew a body shape in paper till it looked right, ditto wings. Cut and sewed 2 body shapes right sides together, turned out, stuffed, hand closed. Ditto wings and added. Added buttons and a twig from Uncle's garden. So I guess i cheated by not giving him a pieced bottom. I've probably got the paper pieces somewhere, I could scan them if that would be of use?

Oh I hope not! Sorry, don't know how machiney you are, so i'll say it simple as someone said it to me! It could have stopped due to trapped thread/fluff/dust and lack of oil. Have you had a gentle poke about in the bit where the bobbin case sits? And behind it if the whole case bit can come out. Machines often come with a mini brush to do this, but a cotton bud would be ok if not. Make sure it's turned off and unplugged and if you remove anything, put it down in a line so you can put the bits back in the same order!stardrops42 wrote: »
