Oh and can't remember who asked but I may make some felt dolls - at the moment my dd (2 and 3/4s) is using her Peppa Pigs in there!!!:D

The house is so lovely. Would waldorf style little wooden and felt people fit? There's a little bit of sewing in the cloak and any embroidery you want to do. They are easy and cheap if you can get to a model store or Hobby craft for the people blanks. Here's a link to a lovely crafty site as I can't explain any better! http://weefolkart.com/?q=node/187
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

I painted one and lined with wallpaper (Laura Ashley sample) and it came out really nice.

I've not visited for a week and am in the process of catching up with you guys - wow you've been busy!

mi55pink - I clicked onto your blog and you're sewing box is lovely.

SvingSu - thanks for the link for the quilt website. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Would you recommend buying Jelly Rolls for making quilts or should I stick to fat quarters. (ooh I've learned two new things today - hadn't a clue about either of these until I started reading this thread)

it would depend on the quilting pattern, i think jelly rolls are more for long thin pieces, while fat quarters can be cut into bigger pieces...and dont forget the "charm sqaures" for even more easyness!
    totally a tog!:D

PepPop - A lot of quilt shops online sell their own versions of jelly rolls etc. which are cheaper (I think) than the quilt fabric manufacturers ones. I've never used them myself as I sew by hand and like to pre-wash my fabrics. Not sure how much fraying would happen to a 2.5" wide strip.

Has anyone seen the Moda Bakeshop?http://www.modabakeshop.com/

It's got loads of nice projects, not that I've gotton round to making any. I seem to spend more time admiring and envying other people's...
  • Thank you - I love everyones pictures!

I was wondering if any of you ladies had bookmarked a tutorial to make those drool bibs for babies that look like bandanas? My 7 month old is teething something terrible and I have lots of fabric sitting in the garage that would look lovely as a drool catcher!

I had one before and I just can't find it in my bookmarks anywhere!

Thanks in advance if anyone does.
