I thought your instructions were really clear, a really good idea too, I must add this to my ever increasing list of things to make. Thanks x

    Stunning garland Arty how clever.

Bunny200 love your makes as well. I think your babygro's are lovely. i particularly like the boys one with the tie i think they would be more popular than the girls ones (think i am scarred from the same tarten kilt and all in one vest experience lol to make it worse i have an older sister and my mum bought us both them so i had to wear hers 5 years later!!! )

Any ideas on what to make for MIL for her 70th? The family have clubbed together for her main gift so I thought it would be nice to give her something more personal.

ETA: Her birthday is a week away so it can't be too complex!

You are welcome Pootle, Im so glad you like it :D
I only found it by chance and so glad I did as it does smell great :D

I have just finished a nappy pouch for my DIL I got the tutorial from Noodlehead (her button is on my homepage) the link I put on is not working, sorry

I thought it would be nice to add to her baby bag and also easy to just pick up when visiting friends or her mum, she can put 2-3 nappies and wipes in it.
I will post a pic tomorrow as Im shattered after working all day and then again this evening :o
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

I made my 74 yrs old MIL a cushion and she was pleased as punch with it, mine was a patchwork one but perhaps you could do her a nice simple one :) maybe just 4 different colour squares on the front and a little bow or something in the corner?
My MIL loved it because I had made it even if it wasn't perfect :o

    Morning All:wave:

I think I'm a stranger to this thread now! But I have been reading:).

I've just looked at my blog and realised I've not made anything in over a month! Life just gets in the way sometimes.

Anyway there have been some fantastic makes going on here, well done girls :T

I'm hoping to reacquaint myself with my sewing machine this week as I have a to do list as long as my arm lol, and also prepare for the fabric swap.

Oh and thanks to you lot I now have an addiction to the shabby chic thread! I'm reading the old one first so it's taking me ages to catch up with!
