  • Artydoll how did you fix the hearts into a ring? I'm thinking ahead to Christmas and making a ring of little stockings or trees made in felt :D

    Artydoll, the garland is gorgeous!

Bunny200, I love the bag with the name on. I can imagine them selling very well. The babygros are a clever idea but are not something I would buy to be honest although this is mainly due to the fact that I was a child of the Sixties and we had kilts that were attached to nylon vest/slips and I never got on with them :).

:rotfl:me too :rotfl: and my Mum was a Bay City Rollers fan so I was always in Red Tartan ones with a hat to match... oh the shame.

The garland is lovely. I've been making hearts with the lace around the edge too and although the first one was a bit dodgy I find it pretty straightforward to pop the lace in before sewing the two bits together, and also a hanging ribbon.

HeHe, me too, I got to see them too when I was older (15 yrs later) and they were way past it :rotfl: they came to our local village hall. Now thats sad :rotfl:

My very 1st thing I sewed in school needlework was a pair of Bay City Roller trousers.

Hi all ,thanks for your kind comments on my garland.
I made a cardboard ring [double thickness pizza box],tracesd around large dinner plate for size.
then cut out the middle so I had a kind of frisbee ring.:T
This was then covered in material, any kind will do ,as it wont show on the back .

The ring of hearts which had already been stitched where they touched together ,was then laid on the ring. All was turned over so the back was facing and stitched securely to the now fabric covered ring
You could pin together before stitching if you wanted to.
the ribbon was also attached to the covered ring.
Hope you can all follow my none too good instructions.:D:D:D
    xxx

forgot to say it was all hand stitched.not on machine.
