    Hi all

Well as I am now jobless I have had lots of time to make things. Over the last couple of days I have made a couple of cushion covers, some wall art for the kitchen, some covers for the missing kitchen cupboard doors and started a quilt.

    Hi,

I just had a quick read... I'm a bit of a fan of learning on the Job. I always found things were easier to do as you went along, what seems complicated becomes clear when you actually do it. Most sewing patterns have clear instructions. Start with something easy and progress as you go... I should imagine the sewing lessons are for people with no knowledge at all!

    Cheers

danables - you are very welcome, I'm just glad someone liked them.
bunny - I just read your blog before this post; I had just left you a comment. I am in a similar position, my main problem is that I work full time and feel very guilty about leaving home on a weekend to go back to college, even if it is only for a matter of weeks, I will miss the boys and DH of course. I think I might just read up about what I want to make and wade in and if I make mistakes, well I know lots of good swear words :D
