Hi,
I was asked on my blog about adding a zip to the buttercup bag. Here is the tutorial that inspired me... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=298323.0

I agree you really should sell them they are so good. My daughter would love them too as they are so girly. You are so clever:T. How did you attach them to the slides? and what is the card that they are attached to?V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
Tete - love your idea! i think i will frame some of them, not all 42 though!, and that way enjoy them before they get turned into other things. thanks!
oh and there's been some chatter these last few days about subersive / alternative xstitch on the xstitch cafe thread - there might be new links for you? LOVE the kitten one! can think of a few friends it might apply to!!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. ok, so i know i've got a couple of quilts on the go but i need to plan an On The Go project for camping and working at glastonbury festival for a week. i'll be at a portacabin desk most of the time but as the week goes on i'll have more and more quiet hours there... so a handicraft project seems a good idea. i might take some hexies but not Xstitch (no mud allowed near that!), so had a think and rememberd KandiPandi's felt russian dolls... and made these little mushrooms and toadstalls. (sorry i've only got a WIP photo.)
what do you think? i think felt is forgiving enough to cope with glastonbury! does anyone have any other ideas? i'm worried i might end up with 30 mushrooms/toadstalls and not know what to do with them!!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Tina ~ thanks - I sewed them onto the slides and added a dab of glue to secure the stitches. The cards are Vintage Nursery Rhyme Snap game cards, they are mega thick! They were from ebay I have linked to the seller in my comments.
23rd Spiral ~ your toadies are going to be lovely! How about making them into keyrings / bag charms / brooches. Have a look on Folksy here I typed in felt to see what fab things people have made with felt, hearts, brooches, flowers, cupcakes, birds - sounds like you will be in for a fun time. You can stand there and agonize........

Thanks Spiral I might have a look over to the Cross Stitch thread later. That kitty one definintely applies to me!! I've also seen one that says "Abandon all shoes ye who enter here" which I think would be good for a hallway!
Your toadstools are lovely (as is your pincushion!), are you selling them at Glasto or is it just something to keep you occupied? I bet you'll get people asking!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Kandipandi
Your hair slides are lovely and so are your jewellery makes. I don't know ow you find time to do it all.0 -
Kandi, you really should start selling, your things are great.
I went to the market today and came back with oodles of goodies:
red stripe, red polka, blue stripe, sky blue star and red star print cotton to make bunting for DS bedroom and some of the red in his playhouse too I think.
One of the stalls had a remenats box out and I found some faux suede just over 1 metre which was only £2 and should have been £7.50 p/m I'm hoping to use this to make Harvey Senior, the hobby horse.
Blue fabrics for the wedding hearts and some weddingy trimmy bits.
Here is the first heart back and front, I'mnot going to embroider the other 2 though. Stuffed with pillow filling and lavender and smells gorgeous.
P.S. Kandi. I finally posted your bits, sorry it's taken so long but sunny back gardens are very hard to leave!0 -
