I have just managed to catch up on the last few days of the thread and have read some fantastic blogs and picked up some useful web addresses - thank you.:T

I must admit I have been inspired since the thread started and spent much more time sewing than logged onto MSE. I think this a good thing.

Off to carry on with my friends wedding dress in a while, just a little more mooching around the site.

I bought some nice fabric and bag handles from here yesterday. http://www.pelennapatchworks.co.uk
For my patchwork bag, only two fat quarters to boost my recycled bag - honest :)

thankyou! your blog is very inspiring!! (and its taught me to look out for tea towels!..good tip there)...i am so sick of trying to find decent priced fabric...i have never made stuffed hearts yet, so i think i'll try some later on as i have some lavender left over from making bath bombs.

oh and how did your fayre go?

Aw it was ok. I didn't sell much, but I have to put that down to the fact that everything was very very summery on my stall. I made more money when I used to make cards. This was the first sewing stuff stall I have done. However, it saved me a fortune on Christmas pressies as everyone got something handmade.

    Thanks for your comments.

    This is another fabulous blog

http://ayumills.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorial She does some very good tutes for beginners like me. You can adjust her ideas too.

I used a beige coloured linen/cotton mix fabric. I just had a mooch around the fabric dept until I found something I thought would be ok and bought a metre:D I got mine from Boyes.

I used craft velour for my dolls, but it is kinda expensive at £5.50 for half a mtr.
Dalston mill fabrics do a moleskin at £4.99a mtr, but the colour might be too pink
