Thanks Jailhousebabe. I didnt see that bit!!
Bunny, love your new blog postings! How adorable! x0 -
Finally got a rotary cutter (£8.45) today so quite excited (and rather scared) about using it. Didn't manage to get any measuring eqpt. or a large cutting mat (mine is A5!!) so still on hold with the sewing.
I found a new craft shop local to me and the lady in there was really lovely, it was a little treasure trove, her prices were really reasonable too I was rather suprised (not sure about mentioning shop here will blog about it soon).
On my charity shop hunt today I did find a lovely boden kaftan style top which I intend to chop up for it's material (I can't see me ever wearing it).
So even though I am not sewing I'm thinking about it, does that count? You can stand there and agonize........

Absolutely! Thats all I seem to think about at times! How will I sew those two pieces together...... what if I try it this way..... blah blah blah. OH is sick of it I'm sure!
BTW, I love my rotary cutter, got myself a huge cutting mat to go with it and its great, no more jagged cuts from the scissors anymore (I just wasnt very good at cutting!), only thing is they are wicked sharp so watch your fingers!!0 -

All the huge cutting mats I've seen have been £35+.
I have a smaller one but can't justify the price of a big oneJack of all trades ... Master of none

I'm planning on hiding the handle between the lining and outer, an making it narrower as mine seems a bit wide. Will post pics when its done. Hopefully I can do it today.
Sure your fleece blanket would be fine if its thin enough. Should have said in my last post, I used 40oz wadding by mistake:eek: (thought I bought 4oz but regrettably not!) hence the tea cosy likeness. Im such a numpty sometimes. Looking forward to seeing your piccies.
Edit: Lots of self healing cutting mats on ebay. A1 size. (they have other sizes too but not on this link)
