Im back again :rotfl:
I have finished my 2nd buttercup bag (just in time for Friday night) this one went a lot quicker and easier than my 1st and I realy enjoyed doing this one.
I used the left over fabric from the jacket and lined it with turquiose fabric from my stash because the main fabric is stretch jersey I ironed heavy interfacing to the lining and lighter interfacing to the handle and it worked out so well
I did'nt have a magnetic catch, so I made a little loop and used the pendant from an old necklace to hold the top together.

I'm already following alot of your blogs and would like to make one of my own to record my learning journey in the world of sewing. However I'm already stuck as to what to call it lol! Any suggestions?

I only started sewing again after finding this thread just before xmas and am slowly getting better. Like they say ''Practice makes perfect'' as long as you enjoy making them keep goingGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Hart ~ Your buttercup bag is amazing! I love the colours, very summery. The pendant works wonderfully and I think it looks better than just a magnetic snap. Are they hard to make?0

hart44 ~ that's a great little bag! I love that you have adapted an old pendant to make your catch, it's beautiful well done! :T
I think I really must attempt one of these buttercup bags soon.You can stand there and agonize........

Thank you Fruit-loopits me following your blog (well done for starting one
)
The bag is very easy to make, after pleating the front you have to attach the top band, I had a prob getting the 1st one I did to match up but the realised that I had to bend the bag a bit and not lay it flat to put it on. Doing the second one I knew exactly what needed doing so only took 1 hr to do (1st one half the day :rotfl:)
I made a little loop from fabric and put it between the lining and main before sewing around the top but I put it back to front so had to do a little turning and caught it up with a couple of stitches to hold it in place
I got some invisible thread from wilko's (bit like fishing wire and a pain to sew with as you can hardly see it) as it can not be seen when sorting any mistakesGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing
