Well I have fallen behind on the craft thread and blog reading this last weekend, I have been busy either house rennovating or sewing! It took me a while but I made this doorstop for our silly living room door. I saw a cute cottage doorstop in Laura Ashley and thought pfffft I can make something similar for much less dollar, and I did!

Kandi, those cupcakes are adorable! I might try and make some and put them on a bag for my niece. Can you use any kind of felt? I keep reading about different kind and I dont know the difference. I just bought a multi pack on ebay but it looks quite shiny on one side and Im not sure if Ive bought the right stuff. Also cant believe you got that spotty fabric for 50p! Never get any bargains like that here!

    Hazy, love your doorstop!!

Hart, Glad you got your problem sorted.

    Ricki, thanks for links.

I love this thread :j I dont think I would have got back into sewing again if it had not been for seeing what everyone has done and been inspired to buy my sewing machine :D and get going, now there is no stopping me, just wish the days would slow down :rotfl:

    Thank you everyone :D

Bunny, Im following you now. Very strange too as I was going to post asking where I could find the tute about the ruffle tops as I saw a girl wearing one yesterday and planned on trying it out. Only realised a minute ago when looking at your blog that its there that I saw it! Looks great.

I have used felt to make cupcakes and turned them into needle cases, pin cushions and garlands. Pics way back on this thread somewhere.

Cut your shapes out of card and you can re -use them.

I think I remember your garlands cuddles. Sure I commented on them as they were fab. Going to go back and take a look (I wish there was a way to bookmark posts on here). Thanks for the tip re cardboard. :)

I am so inspired by this thread!!!, well I dug out my sewing machine a couple of weeks ago, have bought some fabric and had a go at a few things. I would post piccies but I don't know how to.

I have made a wash bag for my little boy with a batman fabric remnant I found in Boyes for 50p and lined it with a section from asda's smart price shower curtain (brilliant tip there!!)

I have also made a laundry bag for my dd (fabric was horrid though, but she likes it) it's a little on the large side but hopefully she may be encouraged to actually put her dirty clothes in it rather than under her bed!

I have made a couple of sock monkeys for the kids and also some hearts from the Sew Pretty book, I just love the stuff in there!!!
