They are gorgeous. I might make a patchwork one to match my others. I could make a large cushion as a contrast to my smaller ones.

You will need 4 x A4 sheet for your bag, and the same for the lining, adding a little for a seam allowance. Add a bit more for the pocket.

You may have some material you could reuse?
Not sure how experienced you are, but I would be tempted to try it with recycled or cheap fabric before buying anything pricey.
Don't forget that you need elastic, ribbon or cord and buttons too.

Please come back with a picture when it's finished. :)

I haven't really made much before so I haven't got any material I'm going to get some from the Market today. The last thing I made was my prom dress under the watchful eye of my mum lol but I'll post a picture if I manage it

    Thanks

Could you try it with an old sheet or something first? It is better to make mistakes on old fabric first. Having said that I know I wouldn't bother, I'd risk wasting the money. I wish I'd tried a trial cushion though because my first one wasn't great because of my extra plump cushion. Sorry I do know you are talking about a bag not a cushion, I'm just trying to let you know where I'm coming from.

    Thank you :D

I did have to make the cushion pads too as the covers turned out a bit big :rotfl: but that was easy, I just used an old sheet and made a square to fit and then slit open two cheap pads from wilco's and stuffed it then sewed it closed. My mum can then remove the pad to wash the cover :D

Kandi, you and Pootleflump have inspired me to finish my blog so will get on it this wk :rotfl: Its nice to keep everything in one place :D

Have a look here for cushion covers, they have loads of other brilliant sewing bits on there too, its the prima magazine craft section online.

I made another frame bag yesterday, I loved this fabric :D, it was listed on ebay as horrible 70's curtain fabric :D and I have loads left :D

it turned out a bit bigger than I wanted but heyho, just have to clean the glue off :( and add a chain strap/handle :)

Hi Taz and Laura. Welcome to the thread. x

Oooop's :rotfl:you might have to wait till the weekend before I can spend time doing my blog PootleFlump. Im going on a girls night out Friday and the dress I am wearing needs a cover-up (my arms are not as good as I thought :rotfl:) so Im going to attempt to sew a little light weight jacket/top :o so tomorrow Im off to find some fabric, Im just lucky my DIL gave me some Prima patterns and one is for a little shortie jacket :D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:at the Demis Roussos comment, have you tried any Prima patterns, Im not sure if they do them on line?
