Oh I am full of ideas, its just getting around to doing them!
Dispite the sewing machine being up in the bedroom, with a 2 year old around all day, I find it difficult to make the time anymore!. What ever I did with my kids god alone knows!
But one of these days it will happen, and i will get myself organised.!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi - lovely bag Mooloo - wish I was that clever!
Just wanted to say that Amazon have sent me an e-mail to say they have some craft books including Tilda & Cath Kidson up to half price. Thought some of you might be interested.0 -

Yes Etsy is an American site and most of my sales are to American buyers (I have had an Australian customer recently:D). The only difference in posting international is that you have to put a custom sticker on the parcel with a few details on it. The woman at the PO usually gives me a big roll of stickers to take home so that I don't need to do it at the PO:D I don't find it much different to posting parcels within the UK.
I hope you don't think I am interfering, but please check that your product insurance covers you for sales abroad. I have GM Imber's basic craft cover and it used to say I was not covered for sales to USA & Canada addresses. I just looked it up to check the info before posting here and I see that I can now sell only to countries in the EU (I must check which these are!) I think that is because in places like the USA they sue for any problem - just like it's getting here!0 -
On Etsy you can say that you will only supply to the UK, I am sure? Will have to check exactly but I havent managed to sell anything on there, so now dont have anything on site at the moment.
havent time today, unless anyone else can.?When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Does anyone make do and mend? I've just turned my husband's long sleeved shirt into short sleeved. He had ripped the placket and thrown it in the bin. I prefer to sew things new but I do get satisfaction from repairing or altering. I am starting a quilt from old shirts.0

Always! I have 4 boys :rotfl:
This week the knees were out of the jogger bottoms (he slipped in the sports hall apparently- it looked like it had been burned!).
I'm repairing school uniform or other clothes usually every week! Last week it was the crotch gone in two pairs of school pants. I don't know how folks get by without being able to mend stuff - it would cost me a small fortune to replace worn out boys trousers every second week! You can stand there and agonize........

My DH is always asking me if I can alter something for him - and I can't stand it! I'd much rather make from scratch. I've just been tidying up my sewing corner as I'm determined to stop procrastinating. I've got an Embroiderers' Guild workshop tomorrow though (a nice few hours of rest and relaxation for me).

My sewing corner is growing!
Sorted out all my threads last night.
Then a bag of felt.
Bag of 'other fabric'
Bag of socks (to make monkeys)
Bag of embellishments (eyes, ribbons etc)
I also don't know how people manage without sewing. My SIL can't even sew a button on, and takes trousers etc to a shop to be 'taken up'Jack of all trades ... Master of none
