Being honest, I really didnt like the handles the way they are stitched to the side of the bag. They looked really awkward and I just thought they retracted from the overall look of the bag. Also would make the bag a bit bigger than in the tute. (Everyone has different taste though so maybe you will like it.) :)

Thanks for your honesty,:D I like my bags quite large so will try and make it bigger.

Will post a pic when I get around to making it.

I've just come across this 'free' sewing pattern site and thought it may be of use for ideas

Thanks CandyB, I think the bit missing (in exclamation marks) might be angel fire (all one word) I think its the same one as I posted a while ago and MSE wont allow that word to be stated.

Hi, the handles are a cheap Pearl necklace. She only plans to put her hankie and a few light bits in it, so i hope it will hold. I had wanted to find a chain, but didnt have the time!.
The outside is beige, and then reverse it and its lilac.
the beige was a curtain swatch and the purple/lilac is from sleeves from a top I bought in a charity shop!

Mum loves it anyway. so she has the cream one or this one, to choose from. The second one is totally reversable so she can wear it with her beige outfit at the church, and reverse it for her lilac outfit in the evening. As they are going away in the caravan, she needs versitility for the lack of space.!

It has given me lots of other ideas, but as yet i am not well enough to sew much. :o
