    Sunshine I used this tutorial:

    http://threebears.wordpress.com/2007/10/15/little-boxy-pouch-tutorial/

I think someone has posted that before. I just lined it with some old sheet, no interfacing etc. I haven't found anywhere here that sells things like that yet. I just wanted to see if I could do it. The finished bag is 3"high x 4.5"long and 2" deep.

In step 6 of the tute I ironed it flat that is why there is a horizontal crease on my top photo between blue and yellow car. For me this made it easier to line up the seam for the corner (where you are pinching it out) to the crease then I followed the rest of tute.

I bought a nice shower curtain to use as a lining. I am thinking of making these in sets of different sizes for my 3 girls. Ready for Christmas lol.

Thanks GenieUK. I think they look really good with the crease along the middle. Might try that. The fabric really makes these looks so cool! Cant believe its a pair of p.j's!! Superb!

I have lined them as the material wasn't very strong. The material is my son's old pj top.

    They are fantastic GenieUK!

Well done you, I want to make some now.

I love the fact you have recycled your sons pj's. I like recycling, I have a few things made from old shirts and jamas too :)

GenieUK, I have just noticed you aren't in the UK either. I'm in Poland and have problems finding things for my sewing too. I've tested a few UK retailers that deliver outside the UK.

Postage can be a pain in some cases but it depends how much you want something I suppose.

    Happy Sewing

I live in Cyprus and haven't really found a decent haberdashery anywhere yet. I think there may be one about 1.5hrs away on other side of the island but will only go there when visiting friends. But did manage to go to Northern Cyprus and found some material to make some duvet covers with.

So that is why I try and recycle things and look at our local thrift shop, just picked up a duvet cover today that I may hopefully turn into a couple of skirts.

I am so like my grandmother bless her.

GenieUK - your boxy pouch is brilliant - the fabric is amazing too, very retro!

Would make a great washbag for a man too with a dark coloured zip.

    Hi,

I was wondering if you could help me… I caught the Christmas crafting book last year and I’d like to make my friends and family members patchwork cushions this year… with their initial in the middle… I have never quilted before (but last year I managed to make an intricately designed cushion for my nephew so I’m sure that if I follow my nose I will be fine)…

Anyway, I was wondering if you have any advice to share? And if anybody could tell me the cheapest way of acquiring fabric! I want to get started as soon as I can becaus eI will be doing everything by hand.

    Thanks,

    Claire! xxx

If I have done this right, I always forget between applications! my memory is not what it used to be.

Kind of took me off trail for a bit but i'm back now:D

Dizzytina - OMG what a time you have had I'm so sorry for your loss.

Your makes are brilliant, that bag is inspired and I thought your memory box was beautiful. Making bits and bobs will keep you busy and keep your mind of stuff, hopefully for a little while x

    Mooloo
    - your bag is brill - bet your Mum is delighted with it.
