having looked at all of your fabulous makes I feel embarrassed to ask such a beginners question. but here goes. I have managed to get some lovely striped material at £1 a metre at my local market perfect for some mens pj bottoms. I have even seen a pattrn for the pj bottoms that say ideal for beginners but the pattern is in a book. how do I get it on to a piece of paper that I can use as a pattern? they are all so small.

also am an ok beginner at knitting and promised fancy scarfs to my family that I only managed to complete one. is there some smaller things for beginners that I could start making now for sewing so no disappointment when Christmas comes around and creeps up on me again...I do remember seeing somewhere some flavoured vodka or gin or something but how can you present this to someone with the bottle saying cheap supermarket brand on label??

could you please point me in right direction for the pattern. you have made such a lovely top am inspired. may even progress from buying fabric to actually making something

It's not a pattern per se, you have to draft it yourself, but it is very simple.

HMO - I want to make a door stop myself, what do you fill them with?
Do you put it in the bag first, and then into fabric bag?

    Thanks

Have been very busy, constantly have some plans at the weekends.
But decided that during next week I will watch and on Bank holiday Monday I will start on the "Make your own A line skirt" project from Craftsy website.

I bought the fabric and everything couple weeks back, just never got round to it.. Must start it next week though.

I just buy a big bag of the cheapest rice I can find in the supermarket, then I put a grip seal bag inside and poor the rice in, seal it up and it's dine

Winnie, thats lovely, makes me think of my Mum she was always making things like that. I havent been on much either, been doing some sewing though, have made key rings and started on some phone cases. Started making a dress but its coming up a bit tight so am leaving it to see if i can lost another stone on my diet and it should fit nicely then
