Winnie, thats lovely, makes me think of my Mum she was always making things like that. I havent been on much either, been doing some sewing though, have made key rings and started on some phone cases. Started making a dress but its coming up a bit tight so am leaving it to see if i can lost another stone on my diet and it should fit nicely then

Thanks RD, I've got another 12lb to loose on my diet before I start trying to fit into my old clothes
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

Fingers crossed it don't take long to get there Winnie, I was doing really well for nearly a year, was losing about 1lb a week, lost 5 stones so far. Then in May the weightloss just stopped even though I have been continuing with the same eating pattern.

It's not a pattern per se, you have to draft it yourself, but it is very simple.

Sorry, I just noticed I copied a wrong link!! Will put up the correct one now

More pics on my blog tomorrow

That looks great and well done in starting Christmas so soon
  • I am sorry I haven't posted this week, it has been very busy, bought a new car, made a quiltuing table and been off three workshops to do with quilting and sewing, nothing has been completed, apart from one more loose dress.

I met a lady yesterday who has three embroidery machines and has does not know what they really can do, so looks like I might be doing several workshops relating to embroidery machines. I thought retirement was less busy hahahahaha

Hi everyone :-) I used to come here a while ago and browse :-) Just back on mse for some other things and the emails from here started up again :-) I am not a sewer really just like to have a go and never really made much. You could say I am a collector of things to sew :-) but have had a real itch lately to get behind a machine. So hopefully will happen soon :-) Looking forward to seeing all your makes. xx
Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help? Looking for a copy of the little poem to go with a teabag to make a little gift. The one about sharing a cuppa even though we are miles apart.

    Thanks in advance.
