Thats really really kind oc you. I started a course just after Christmas and ive currently got to make a small quilt and a crazy patchwork cushion. Ive not even started the cushion yet.
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

i think i would sew all the crazy patchwork together first in roughly a square but bigger than you need for a cushion front.

then cut the cushion front from the crazy patchwork piece and use plain fabric for the back

  • Made some coasters the weekend following this:
    http://www.abernathycrafts.com/2012/08/fabric-block-coasters-tutorial.html
Really quick and simple to do, probably could have done with being 1/2 inch bigger though but still pleased with them. Made a bigger one for a plant pot too. I topstitched mine to finish them off.
  • Couldn't help looking up crazy quilting, what a great idea to use up scraps! Thank you. Have added it to one of my pinterest boards for future reference.

Have been plodding along in the last two days, promoting my sewing as best as i can. The local Beautician has now got 5 of my Lavender filled heart sachets, hanging in her place, and with my buisness cards etc incase anyone asks about where she got them. She also posted one on FB a few weeks ago, when I had given her one as a gift when I had gone for my massage.
And that has lead to a sale today, of a strip of stuffed hearts, in gingham on the All my love ribbon. Yipee.
I hope that this will start to kick start the sewing again.
I have also been given a commission to cover a sofa.
We have decided that we are going to go through my fabrics, and make a patchwork one, a bit like www.mortgagefreeinthree.com has done on her £10 sofa challenge.
    Inspriational.
I have covered sofas before, but some 20 years ago. I will have to get my act together and get up in the loft to dig out the fabrics.
    Watch this space!

Mooloo I have been thinking of doing some Baby Annabelle bedding and found this which could be a seller at a school (love the shoes) http://free.wollyonline.com/BD16f01.asp?category=2&ProdId=100

Does anyone have internal dimension for the annabelle bed matress please, I have found them online for the whole bed but can't tell which is height, width etc

Thanks for this missed the post earlier, just seen it. Great idea, although the pattern says for home use only! mind you it gives me an idea and I am sure I could think of:T a way of adapting it.
