Have a look at the peg bag here its fabulous: I am going to attempt something like this, I will have to buy this book I think there are some lovely bits in there.
What a gorgeous peg bag :T - I'll make sure I take a long time hanging out the washing though, waiting for my neighbours to notice my pegbag handiwork! How envious they will be0 -

Hi all Im back...with more questions!!!. Whislt waiting for my interfacing to arrive I wantde to star another project. Im planning on making a toy bear out of stripey fabric so will need the stripes to match up. Am I correct in thinking that I need to buy a walking foot for my machine in order to do this? Im assuming it would help with making a bag out of patches and scraps I have left over too?
Are these universal? or do I have to find one that fits my make/model of machine (i have an old seamstress machine I got form freecycle its 25 year guraantee ran out 25 years ago lol)
Does anyone have any knowledge in this area? thanks x0 -

We have small old fashioned stationery shop nearby where you can get things copied for a small fee. Or (sudden lightbulb moment) ask at the library!
Thanks, just went down to the library and the photocopier enlarges up to 200%,so job done. All I need to source now is a second hand sewing machine!!0 -
Hi
Hope you don't mind if I tag along - I've been reading the thread everday since about the 3rd page but I'm a bit shy:o I haven't done much sewing for years but this thread made me dig out my machine, so I made an apron for my mum and a cute little storage bag from a tutorial in a craft blog. I've been using old curtains to practice on before buying the lush fabric I've seen. x0 -
Cakeybaker - hi welcome to the thread
When you are able to you must let us see a picture of your creations.
I started my peg bag tonight but need some bits from the craft fair to finish it off.
I'm making the first one for me, just to test out my pattern. You can stand there and agonize........

The size of the scissors she was using for clipping into the seams, made me smile. Useful video though.0
