Thanks for the link to the elf tutorial. Does anybody have a recommendation for where to buy the little bells for the hats?

Is it possible to have pinking shears sharpened, I was excited to be given some but they aren't evenly sharp and don't always cut cleanly.

This is a boring box that I have done a makeover on. Fabric sides and cross stitched fronts.

  • That's lovely! pennib. I thought it was covered in tissues but it's fabric. Did you glue them on in big pieces cover the sides and curvy back? Very smooth. I love the crosstitch patterns too.

Yes, merrymary, the fabric is glued on. The curvy top bit was done seperately. In fact I havn't stuck it down yet!

Pennib, that's lovely. You do make some beautiful stuff - very original too. I just wish I had some creative inspiration.

Try cutting into Aluminium foil a few times to sharpen them. Not the best but it helps!.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

you could try cutting sheets of sandpaper - I've done this with wallpapering scissors & it worked
