I bought a pack of two glasses cases with these fasterers in poundland, so I could take them apart to use them to make my own with fabric. They came apart ok, but I haven't got round to making anything yet!

Hi, I've not posted here before but they sell flex frames on this website, http://u-handbag.com/item.php?item_id=37&category_id=4

I've bought from this website before and it's all top quality stuff, I have Lisa Lam's two books as well.

You beat me to it, thats what I was going to say.
Buying from the poundshop is also a way around things! Thinking outside the box so to speak. Something I like to do, but am not always successful at.
I am still having a go at Patchwork. The hand sewing is the black and white hexagons.
The machine I am trying out a Pinwheel technique, with Christmas Charm packs. Its a lot of fun, but time consuming.
I am not sure how I will join it all together and how big a quilt I will make though. Still a work in progress.

I found some fabric quite by chance on the market yesterday, that is really panels printed with some Childrens Police Tabards, and Some Hello Kity, and Sesame Street panels, that I think I will make some PE bags or similar out of. So yet again I spent more than I was supposed to. I also bought 3 metres of a purple/silver viscose, that I may actually use with the fabric I had for a coat. Except I may actually not make it for DGD I may think about a coat for me out of it. With 3 metres of each, it will be possible. For the grand total of £5 for the viscose, and each of the childrens prints, I had 3 metres for a£5 of each. So I spent £20. But speculating to accumulate so to speak, I am hoping that I will be able to sell on some of the things, once I have made DGD her own bags/tabard first.
If I get the time to sew!
Looking forward to her starting school next month, so I will be free to sew as much as my arm will allow.
It is struggling or shall I say, I am struggling if I sew much more than an hour at a time. Problem is at the time I dont notice, its afterwards when things seize up thats the problem. Then the next day, starting is a big stepping stone.
Oh well, its just something I will have to learn to live with.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I bought some from artisanleather.co.uk last year - 5 squeeze frames for £2
You can also use metal tape measure to make squeeze frames. You can buy a metal tape measure from Poundland and get lots of frames from it. There are tutorials on line:

This is an update on my mini-mini sampler. As it's small (2" square) so it's quite fiddly so taking longer than I thought. It very enjoyable to do tho.
Clicky thumbnail. More info on h*page.
