    I made something!
This is a present for my DGD who is 11 today. She is very girly and loves Laura Ashley. I made a jewellery bag for her using LA spotted and checked fabrics.

The plastic circle - for stiffening the base is from a milk container.

Mooloo and Rufusdog, I'm so jealous of your bags of jeans/fabrics! and your top is lovely rufusdog.

Florenceem, your daughter must love the jewellery bag, it's gorgeous.

MrsBunny, well done finishing your first quilt, it looks really good. I can't see any mistakes!

    Hello lovely people

Well today I have finished my first quilt and I love it! I wanted to have something bright and cheery in my front room that I can use in the evenings when it goes a little nippy as I am sick of seeing the brown cheap fleeces we were using over winter!!

Please take a look at my photos - fabric is 'Flora' by Moda. Not a perfect quilt as it is my first and made many mistakes but I am happy with it and its little quirks - ie not being straight!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day - I want to go out but I am waiting in for someone to collect an ebay item that my hubby has sold (and he is out today - typical!) Jo x :D

That quilt is beautiful, i can`t believe its the first one you`ve made ? well done :T

Thankyou for your lovely comments - I am on a role this weekend, late yesterday afternoon I started to make a tote bag for my cousin who will be 13 in April. She loves all things skull and crossbones (no idea why!) so when I spotted a set of neck scarfs for £3 in Primark a couple of weeks ago I thought I could make something for her. Quite tricky fabric to work with but I got there in the end - and with using some old curtain lining for the inside finishes it lovely - just need to add a popper to close the bag - will be getting some today.

My quilt - i love it too! there are mistakes but you need to really look and like anything - I know where they are!!!!!

Take a look at my bag on flickr

Just now need to think of something for her twin sister who is very girly - I am thinking of a kindle cover but I need to find out which kindle she has for size!!! If not - maybe another bag/purse, I have some lovely pink and flowerly fabic in my stash.

She will love that bag Mrs Bunny. My daughter likes the skull fabrics too, the first quilt I made was for her and I found some nice skull fabrics on Ebay and put some cheaper fabrics along with them to make up the volume needed.

Another bag sounds a good idea if you already have fabrics xx
