Well done child359, lovely makes xx
No sewing for me this week as OH is on nights again so I am glad I got so much done last week. I am thinking I might make another bag up, for my SIL this time, for Christmas. Still waiting for some magnetic clasps to come to make some saddle bags. Other things on my list to do are some more card wallets and may be some purses too.0 -
Lovely makes everyone. Haven't been about for a while as been busy decorating. Have finally had the guts to cut out my fabric for my blind over the weekend so hopefully will get it made soon and get some pics on my blog. Bought some patterns and fabric today to make some more dresses for my twins. Have lots of things to make but no time to do anything.Debt Free by Xmas 2013 No #131 £1199/£2,000

Some Quillow pictures that someome on the FB group asked for
the quilts were all made form Jelly Rolls using patterns from "Jelly Roll Quilts" by P.Lintott The quillow instructions were from "Magic Pillows, Hidden quilts" by Karin Hellaby (a really great book for beginner quilters, and you dont have to make the quilts into quillows.) I used left over blocks for the pillow fronts.0 -

These are really wonderful Tamster :T
No sewing for me, I just unpicked the zips out of the old cushion covers that were in my C S haul last week.
But my arm/neck is shouting even at that.
have been offered some other "old clothes" etc for my recycling, so looking forward to that. Its always intreaging to see what is given to me, and what I can make out of it all!.
If only I could sew when I want too!! Brain says yes, more but the body says NO!! it wins alas. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I love that messenger bag. What fabric did you use for the outside? My DD wants to make one, but ordinary cotton fabric seems too flimsy. I've been trying to find some canvas but there's none available over here.0

Could you use a heavy curtain weight fabric, and use a iron on interfacing to give it some sturdyness. If you dont have that, you can pad the bag with layers of other fabrics/wadding and even use bondaweb to put two layers together. (More expensive of course.). I dont know where you are based to suggest where to get fabrics. If your in the UK you can easily order fabrics off of the internet. If your abroad somewhere then thats obviously a bit different and some research would be necessary.:oWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
