The Sewing Room

Have been missing for a few days. But been trying to refind the table around my sewing machine.
I was very surprised to see that Biggest of Mooloo's mother in law (tobe), has given my DGD a small toy PAFF sewing machine. I think it is a bit old for her, but I think that it will keep her busy when I am sewing. I am yet to put the batteries in it and see what it works like.:D:T
I shall be teaching her as soon as she is interested in it. it would be good to have another generation sewing, its sort of missed the girls, although twin2 has said she would be interested in one of my old machines. So we will see.
Catch up with everyone in the new year, when DGD is back in the nursery and I get time to myself again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Oooh, must see if I can find the link. After my Xmas gift to my mum, that may well be a handmade birthday present to go with it (in February)0 -

Emmarillo; Glad that you found some spotty felt....wish I'd bought some now, as I don't live anywhere near a Hobbycraft.

What sort of things do your parents like Child359? Aprons and cushions are pretty easy to make and you can make fancy ones or plain. Even an apron for dad for bbq in the summertime with some stripey material.0

Ooh I am loving the apron idea!!! My Pops makes a mean BBQ and wears an apron. I have some material in blue and yellow as well actually!! My friend does embroidery too.
Brilliant. Any good patterns or tutorials that anyone knows of.

Hello all, I've been pointed in this direction from another MSE'r. I didn't even know there were a sewing group! (I'm bad)
Anyway, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm an avid dressmaker and I'm always sewing something or other or thinking about sewing something or more often than not buying lots of lovely fabric
Looking forward to sharing some ideas with you all xVirtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110
